I am an experienced and qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, registered with UKCP and working both in Norwich and Aylmerton, North Norfolk .
Since 1992, I have been in private practice, as well as offering psychotherapy within the NHS, training and supervising counsellors and psychotherapists, and providing supervision to local voluntary agencies.
People come to me for therapeutic help with a wide range of issues including :
- Depression
- Anxiety and panic
- Life changes and relationship difficulties
- Trauma
- Bereavement and loss
- Stress and problems at work
- Eating disorders
- Mental health problems and anger management
- among other things
I also offer support to people who feel they have been unable to find, or have lost their way in life.
I work in a safe and confidential setting from my consulting room in North Norfolk where there is convenient off road parking, and from a counselling centre in Norwich.
I see adults aged eighteen and over, both female and male, from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I offer an initial assessment, without any further obligation.
This provides an opportunity for us to meet, to talk about your needs and to see whether psychotherapy is likely to be helpful. If so, we will normally agree to work together for an initial six sessions.
Unless you are seeking short term support to cope with an immediate crisis or difficulty, in most cases it may take time to address deep rooted emotional, physical or spiritual issues and for many clients it is necessary to think of a period of at least a year in therapy.
Appointments last for one hour, and are often at weekly intervals, though sometimes more frequent. where this suits the individual and their circumstances.
For further information, or to arrange an initial appointment, you may contact me either by e-mail or phone. When I am not available in person, an answerphone will usually take your call and I will return your call as soon as I can.
